Shafiq also enjoyed the job benefits and completed his LLB studies. He then went on to complete the barristership at Shafiq University of Law and completed two LL.M. Then trying to complete a doctorate by writing a thesis and also doing practice. But Mujibulla Gong left the benefits of reading and writing in favor of business. Tried to settle there. Not even close to gaining knowledge.
4
Shafiq Ahmed has just finished his barristership and entered the practice. A part-time lecture at a law college is doing well in advocacy practice at night. He is accompanied by evil friends Mujibullah Chowdhury, Zia Haider and Jeeban Ershad. They came to study as a barrister but did not study. They prefer business jobs to barristers.
Shafiq's rent-free office in one room of Mujibullah. Here Mujib has ten rooms of his own. Shafiq was given this room free of charge by a huge legal aid from Legal in London. They don't talk about any law or country when they come here to hang out. Talks about girls and alcohol which causes poison pain in Namazi Shafiq's mind. Shafiq endures for the sake of friendship. But is it always possible?
Mujibullah said,
"You know, Haider, Binita came yesterday, I was there, foreigner, foreigner, Bangladeshi, different kind of fun."
Zia Haider replied,
"So, more than the fun it gave the three of us."
In between, life said,
"We'll just have fun, Shafiq needs to have some fun too, let's do a two-w party one day. Shafiq will also be with us."
He put fire on Shafiq's body and said,
"Look, I spent my father's money and came abroad to study and lower my name, my studies are over, now I will get some experience and go to the country. I didn't come here to be a girl."
After hearing Shafiq's speech, the three of them met.
said,
"Okay, friend, come today. You feel bad."
Mujibullah came to the street and said,
I promised my friend, I will sleep with that girl within a month."
The other two laughed and said,
"Okay buddy, we're with you."
5
After that a few days have passed. Shafiq's days are sometimes busy and sometimes in silence. He doesn't even remember what happened before. Suddenly one day a girl client appeared, wearing a short skirt and a sleeveless T-shirt on her upper body which is called sentu genji in our country. The girl is as stylish as she is beautiful. came and said,
"Hello sir, I am Parveen. I am Bangladeshi. May I get legal help from you."
Shafiq said,
"My office is for providing legal help. And if you are a Bangladeshi, it doesn't matter."
Parveen said,
"I have heard a lot about you. But I don't have the financial means to get the help of a bar-at-law. So I wonder if I qualify for your help."
Shafiq said,
"You see, I earn a lot of money in London, if I can help a girl in the country, I will be obliged."
Then Parveen said,
"As I have heard your reputation in your Bengali circles, I feel blessed to speak with you. But I will not say anything more today, another day.
Thanks for the tea. "
Shafiq said,
"That's okay, thank you."
6
Parveen came back exactly two days later. Barrister Shafiq had no choice but to close his eyes if a transparent shirt came today, unless there was something like a bra inside. However, he came and said,
"Good evening."
Shafiq said.
Good evening to you. "
First started with an introduction.
"I am Vinita Parveen, I have come to England to complete my MBA, to complete my BBA from Dhaka University."
"Shafiq said very good things, but Dhaka University is not bad. So why did you leave there and come here?"
Parveen said,
"That's a lot of things, it can be said in detail another day. But today I'll just say this, my two younger sisters and mother really wanted to have a higher degree from London."
Shafiq said,
"Why didn't your father have an opinion?"
Parveen said,
"My father is not alive. He died of a heart stroke a year and a half ago today."
Then Parveen ended the discussion by saying,
"I'll say no more about it today. I've got some work to do. I'll be back tomorrow. And thanks for the tea."
Tea here is not to bring tea made from any hotel or restaurant, it is served with tea bags and sugar in the hot water of Shafiq electric heater, so everyone says thank you. So Shafiq was not happy with the thanks, but rather worried about why he came to England to study after the death of a girl's father.
7
The next day Parveen came to the office at the usual time and greeted Shafiq Saheb.
"Tell me how your father died."
Parveen started saying,
"My father's name is Abdul Malek, he was a hotelier. Our hotel was on Court House Street, just behind the Judge Court, where the Chamber of Advocates and their association's two-story office were located, next to the road. It was very famous. Many people used to come here for lunch and breakfast. Since the crowded area near Shankhari Bazar was quite busy at night, and the afternoon breakfast was also good, our residence was in Paltan. We had two empty plots behind our house and we had our own house. My father built two four-story buildings on the empty land, from which we received regular rent and the one we live in, except for the two-story one, where we lived, was rented out. The income from the hotel was quite good, so there was a lot of income apart from the rent. I have two elder and two younger sisters. We have no brothers. When my father died, Mr. Malek,"
As soon as Shafiq said this,
"What was your name, Miss?" Parveen."
Parveen said,
"Trupti Hotel, Trupti was my mother's name that was quite popular."
Shafiq Saheb said in surprise,
"Hey, I have been having breakfast at this hotel regularly for three years!"
Parveen said,
"That means."
Shafiq Saheb started talking,
"When I passed law, I started my practice with a senior. The senior under whom I started my practice was a bit of a strict person. I had to go to his chamber by eight in the morning and appear. He would mind me very much if I was late. After I opened the door, the maid would come. After cleaning by eight thirty, he would come around nine and appear in the chamber. It was not possible to come from my house to have breakfast so early. My mother would keep breakfast ready but it was not possible for me to eat and leave so early. So when I opened the office and the maid came to clean, I would go there for breakfast. Your father Malek Saheb didn't even have to tell me about breakfast. What kind of breakfast would he give me? He knew my menu. I would eat two parathas, one vegetable, one poached egg or omelet. After dinner, I would eat halwa which is very popular in your shop. Sunam, the habit of having a cup of tea every day after halwa is a routine for three years, your father liked me very much because of regular eating, because of the relationship, if there was any good item prepared there, he would let me eat it even if he forced me to eat it, because of which I developed a spiritual relationship with him and you are his daughter?'
Parveen said,
"Oh, do you know my father? Anyway, a year and a half ago, he suddenly had a stroke, we took him to the hospital but he did not survive. I rented the hotel to someone, he gave us 2000 taka every day, house rent, and the money from the hotel, we were doing quite well. In the meantime, I got an offer to do MBA from London, I happily agreed to come to London, my two sisters also accompanied me very enthusiastically, I also really wanted to get a big degree from abroad. Then I got a good job in Bangladesh, and I came to London with this desire. "
Shafiq said,
" How is your study now?"
A long time had passed between talking and drinking tea.
Parveen said,
" I will not say anything more today sir, I will tell you in detail another day."
Like that day, the conversation ended here. Shafiq started thinking, what use is Parveen to me? What is her purpose? What is her problem? I will have to find out very soon because no matter what happened before, now she is the daughter of someone I know. Not only is she an acquaintance, but for three years in a row I used to meet her once a day, except for holidays, thinking about this, Shafiq became absorbed in other work.
8
As soon as the next day came, Shafiq said,
"Miss Parveen please tell me what help you want from me and I have a special request, from now on please come to me in modest clothes because even though we are close in age, you are my brother's daughter because your father used to call me brother, even though he was much older than me and I asked him to come in modest clothes because even though the age gap is less, you are my niece."
After saying this, Parveen burst into tears, her cheeks and Genji's(T-shirt) throat were wet with tears. Barrister Shafiq Sahib was shocked and thought that I had said such a bad thing.
Breaking her thoughts, Parveen began, "Sir I came here on a mission your friend Mujibullah appointed me to defame your character. But you treated me in such a way that I remembered my father and cried to myself. I came here for a higher education but now I am a characterless woman."
Shafiq Sahib asked,
"Why is this so? Tell me in detail whether I can do anything for you as your father knows.
Miss Parveen began to elaborate.
"After my father's death, one of my father's partners who also lived in the hotel is now living in London. He came home. He was my father's business partner but to come to London, he sold all his partnerships to my father, for which we got full ownership of the hotel. But we had a good relationship with him. After my father's death, he came to our house and expressed a lot of grief, so that our hearts were filled, he proposed and said,
"Think of sending your daughter to London so she can get a good position. You are not short of money anymore so give a girl a good higher education."
I came to this country with a lot of hope, a lot of effort, marketed well and cheerfulness of mind. After coming, He forced me into prostitution. I have nothing with him, my passport, all the documents, I have no way to the country I will go to. They are my customers.
They made me a huge offer. If I can subdue you, have physical relations with you then they will make an arrangement to send me home. I agree because I am helpless. "
Hearing these words, Shafiq Sahib's heart was filled with hatred towards Mojibullah, Ershad and Haider. Can a friend be like that? Or I was a little angry, but that's why you will make such a decision? I don't drink alcohol, I don't mix with girls, I don't go to nightclubs, can this be a crime? I want to live well from here with a good degree and go to the country to grow up there, this is my wish, my little wish. Anyway, Shafiq Sahib thought that Malek Sahib's daughter should be saved and she should be rescued from this predicament.
Shafiq Saheb called SP Saheb, the senior most officer of the local police station, and said,
"Hello Sir, I am Barrister Shafiq Ahmed, may I have your help?"
SP said,
"Of course you can. Please let me know what I can do for you."
Mr. Shafiq said,
"I am a barrister practicing law here and studying law in college. A relative and client of mine is in a very difficult situation. I seek your help as to how I can get him out of this."
SP said,
"Please tell me what the problem is."
Mr. Shafiq said,
"She is being forced into prostitution by a relative, an uncle who is doing this."
SP said,
"He said it is a serious criminal offense and he should be severely punished."
Mr. Shafiq said,
"Not only that, he can't go back to the country because of his passport, can you help him?"
SP said,
"I can help him a lot. Please come with him to me tomorrow and see what I can do."
Shafiq Saheb heard the complete words from Parveen again and wrote them down on a paper and after writing Parveen's signature. said to him,
"Be in front of the SP office tomorrow morning, meet there and don't tell anyone about this, and from now on don't call me sir, call me uncle."
9
Shafiq sahib saw Parveen standing in front of the SP office during office hours the next morning. Shafiq Saheb was very happy and went to SP Saheb's room with him. SP Sir John Abraham respectfully shook hands and asked them to sit down, arranged for tea he called an officer to the officer and said to Anthony Quinn, the SP concerned in the area of this girl's incident, I have explained everything completely, you should take them and meet the SP sir. After having tea from there, Shafiq left for the concerned SP office
They went to the police car where the concerned SP Mr. Anthony Quinn greeted them and asked them to sit down, he called an officer. The officer actually later told him,
"This girl is in danger. She needs to be helped she is being abused by her alleged uncle here you take care of the matter and take a statement from her right now Mr. Bar at Law will give you all the help you need."
The officer brought a paper and recorded the entire incident in the form of a statement after which Parveen took her signature. Mr. SP said where can we keep him now?
Mr. Shafiq said,
"I am single. I have no place to stay here, but it would be better to arrange in a girls' hostel."
SP said,
"Okay I am arranging the hostel but you will bring it yourself. Please you have to take this responsibility as you are the girl's attorney." Then Shafiq sahib said something to SP sahib in his advocate patch cell and SP sahib agreed with humor.
Mr. Shafiq said,
"Parveen, you come to my office 1 hour after office opening. It is not the time that you have come so far, you have come so far to chat after office hours but this time you will come just after office opening in an hour."
Parveen agreed and left.
Parveen came to the office exactly an hour after the office opened. He came and saw that Mujibullah Chowdhury, Zia Haider and Jeeban Ershad were sitting in the office. They were surprised to see him and said,
"Why are you here?"
Parveen said,
"The police were behind me, and two policemen down there were looking through the window at Mujibullah's eyeball tree.
said to the barrister,
"Friend save us.
The barrister said,
"Yes boss. I'll see what can be done?"
After saying this Parveen went down to the police as per the earlier plan with the SP.
Parveen went to the girl’s hostel with the police. SP Saheb had already informed the hostel in-charge about everything. The barrister kept him in the hostel. Then he dropped the barrister in front of the office. Through the window he saw Mujibulla dropping the gong. The barrister entered the room and said, "Dude, I'm done today. I'm in charge, I wanted to come to the office if you have any problems, so I didn't let you come."
Haider said,
you got it right "
The barrister said,
"But how do you know him?"
Life said,
"We had a little relationship through money."
Barrister Shafiq looked as if the sky had fallen on his head. said,
"Dude, it's a forced prostitution case, if you say anything in the deposition?"
The three of them said together,
"Save my friend."
Barrister Shafiq said,
"Let's see if he can be sent to the country without giving a statement? But how can I arrange the ticket?"
Mujibullah said,
"No worries, I will."
Again, the barrister said,
"If you don't have a ticket, how can you go to the country empty-handed?"
The three said,
"No problem, I will pay 500 pounds."
The barrister said,
"Relatives used to beg when they landed in the country, we all gave 1,500 to 6,000 pounds."
Everyone agreed. Barrister Shafiq Sahib had a sweet smile.
10
The next morning Mujibullah came with the ticket. Everyone, including the other two, brought pounds. The barrister went to SP Saheb's office with everything. Anthony Quinn said,
"Government used to manage everything, why did you suffer so much?"
The barrister thought to himself with a smile.
Next day, an afternoon flight to Parveen. Anthony Quinn said,
"Don't worry Barrett Law, papers, videos and written statements will convict her uncle for life. We have laid a trap; her wicked uncle will be in jail while Parveen is at the airport."
After thanking the barrister, he came out and saw Mujibullah Gong standing outside the gate. Mountains of thought on their faces. said,
"What's up buddy?"
The barrister said with a sigh of relief.
"Friend Success, I put all the blame on his uncle who brought him to this country. I didn't let anyone's name come."
They all breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ahhh"
The barrister said,
"My friend is detained, let me sell him something. He will go to the country."
Everyone agreed that the £1500 market was done through their card, the barrister did not bring the card on purpose.
He went to the hostel with them in Mujibulla's car. He did not agree to go above. This is what the barrister wanted in his heart. The barrister left after explaining everything to Binita Parveen and telling her to come the next day at noon.
The next day at noon, the barrister saw Vinita sitting ready. Shafiq said,
"Sir, in the morning the police came and took me. My uncle was brought to the court, my passport was returned to me, but I have to leave the country with the police pass, because the ticket is made with that. They said, uncle will be punished for life. " Because forced prostitution is a very bad thing in this country."
The barrister said,
"It should be, you don't have anything to do with him anymore.
'The barrister drove his own car to drop Vinita at the airport. said on the street
"Parveen will call me only once in the country to inform me of my arrival. Never contact me again. And forget this incident as a bad dream."
Parveen said,
"Okay sir."
Saying goodbye to Parveen, Shafiq Sahib was upset. Various thoughts came to mind, how a father's friend put someone equal to his daughter in this situation. Humanity has risen from the world.
Just the next day when Parveen was coming to the office, a call came. Parveen's voice came to his ears,
"Father, I have arrived properly, pray."
Shafiq was shocked that in his life he never called uncle except sir. What did he say today? No words came to Shafiq's mouth, only silence.
The line was cut from the other side.
