Thriller Chapter 1: Missing News:

It was half past eleven at night.  In the winter night, the fog has gathered as if a thick curtain has been drawn around the village.  Patharghata is a village near Khulna.  The people of the village go into their houses as soon as the daylight ends, but today a strange incident broke that silence.

Munim, the son of local school headmaster Abul Kashem Sahib, has suddenly gone missing.

"I'm going to the market a little" - saying Munim left the house around five in the afternoon.  There has been no trace since then.

Munim's mother, Halima Begum, has gone mad over not having her son.  The village chairman, Mamun Sahib, came to inquire.  A few local youths came along.

"Kashem brother, did anyone threaten your son?" — asked the chairman.

Kashem Sahib shook his head helplessly, "No brother, Munim is a very quiet boy. With whom will he have enmity?"

But some in the village were talking—a group of strangers had come to the market last week.  Munim had some arguments with them.  The people were from the city, there was a kind of fear in their eyes.

Thriller Chapter 2: Shadows of the City:

Two days after the disappearance, the location of the mobile phone used by Munim was found—in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

Kashem Sahib and Chairman Mamun Sahib left for the city.  Along came local journalist Rakib, who started working in Dhaka a few days ago.

After reaching Dhaka, they contacted DB officer Sayem Rahman.  Sayem once grew up in this Patharghata area.  After receiving the news of the village, he himself came forward to investigate.

"Kidnapping a boy to Dhaka—there's something big behind it," said Sayem.

While investigating, Sayem came to know that Munim was actually gathering information against a local drug gang.  The gang has links with some big political figures of the city.

Thriller Chapter 3: Diary of the Unknown:

A diary was found in Kashem Sahib's old bookshelf, which Munim had secretly written.  There it was written:

"Three people came to the village market last week. They were giving something in blue bags to the shopkeepers. I saw... one was named Salman Bhai. A man from Dhaka. I took pictures of all this."

The pictures were found on Munim's Google Drive.  When DB officer Sayem saw the pictures, he was shocked—one of the people in the picture was close to a top leader in Dhaka.

Now this matter must be kept secret.  Saim realizes that the person they are looking for is not just a kidnapper—he is part of a huge criminal underworld.

 Thriller Chapter 4: Undercover Investigation:

Sayem Rahman decided not to tell anyone about the diary and the pictures, not even Kashem Sahib.  He politely said,

"Mama, some clues have been found. But there might be something bigger behind it, so be careful."

He then contacted an old source of his, Jasim.  Jassim, once a low-level operative in this circle, is now an informer.

Jasim said, "Brother, the man named Salman, he lives in the house behind 'Alif Center' in Mohammadpur. But if you go directly, it will be dangerous."

Sayem changed his clothes and went to the area in civil.  Come to see, the house was almost like a fort, CCTV, gate guard, and occasionally expensive cars coming in and out.

Sitting in a small tea shop, he heard,

"Strangers come to this house at night. Some say there are guns inside."

At this moment Sayem realized that Munim had put his hand in the wrong place.

Thriller Chapter 5: Unidentified Phone Call:

It was evening at Patharghata.  Kashem Sahib was sitting in the courtyard.  Suddenly his phone rang - an unknown number.

 – "Your son is fine. No need to search."

 – “Who are you?”

 - "That's what I said. If you go to the police, then the son will be harmed."

The call ended after saying this.  Kashem Sahib stood up from the chair trembling.  He immediately called Sayem.

Sayem tracked that number.  Location showing an abandoned warehouse in Narayanganj.

He immediately called Rakib and said,

"Come to Narayanganj tomorrow morning with your camera. We will not leave them for a moment."

It's exactly 6 in the morning.  Sayem, Rakib, and two members of DB left for Narayanganj in a small microbus.  Rakib hung the camera around his neck and said to Sayem,

"Dada, can I make a video? If proof is needed?"

Saim smiled and said, “Begin, but be careful.”

Location-wise, an abandoned jute warehouse—the place is a little outside the city, surrounded by bushes, broken walls.  A guard was seen sitting in the room next to the warehouse with a walkie-talkie in his hand.

Saim observed the warehouse and said,

"Going in from both sides. Zahid and I will go in front, Rakib you and Rakibul surround the back window."

With eyes on all, one signal—"Come on."

A little more quietly, it was seen that a teenager was tied up in the back room of the warehouse.  Undoubtedly, he is Munim.  Scotch tape on his face, rope in hand.

 Sayem jumped into the room.

 "Police! Any movement means shooting!"

The three men were shocked.  When the two tried to escape, Zahid and Rakibul caught them.  One was about to take something out of the bag—it turned out to be a pistol.  Sayem immediately pointed the gun at him.

After arresting everyone, they rescued Munim and returned to Dhaka.

Thriller Chapter 7: Shadow of Conspiracy:

Munim is still nervous.  Sitting in the hospital, he said,

"They weren't telling me anything. They were just saying, 'You've seen too much.'"

Saim realized it wasn't just a kidnapping—the gang wanted to remove evidence against them.

What came out of the investigation after that, is terrible.

Salman is actually the brother of a prominent businessman, who is involved in the illegal arms and drug trade.  He also has contacts at the highest political level.

While gathering all their information, Sayem was preparing for the main operation, when a senior official called him and said,

"Saym, get off this case. Orders from above."

 Sayem was stunned.

"Shall I then side with the wrongdoers, sir?"

No answer, just a deep breath.

Thriller Chapter 8: Against the System:

DB officer Sayem Rahman knew that not only Munim, but many other innocent people would be lost in this way if he closed his hands from this case.

So he decided to launch an expedition on his own initiative, not officially but privately.

He formed a team with some of his trusted colleagues.  Rakib was providing video documentation, which has proof of everything.

At 11 pm, they raided the house behind Alif Center in Mohammadpur.  But what they didn't think about was the fact that the house was completely empty.

Nothing was found except a few papers and some burnt documents.

"They've already figured it out," said Rakib in a frustrated voice.

Sayem knew - the secret information had gone from the upper quarters.  Not through anyone on his team, but someone in upper administration.

He said, "We have to take a new path now. We have to go down the street."

 Thriller Chapter 9: Media Fire:

The videos in Rakib's hands were the sharpest weapon of truth.  That video had—

 Rescue operation from the warehouse

The faces of Salman and his associates

And most importantly, some secret documents found in Mohammadpur's house, which mentioned under whose patronage the cycle was running.

Rakib edited that video to Sayam.

“Are you really going to give it to the media?”

Sayem said, "Where our judicial system is foggy, the greatest instrument of truth is the people."

The next morning the video surfaced on the country's top online news portal:

"Who is behind the arms and drug cartels? Untold operation of a brave DB officer"

The video went viral.  A storm of discussion started all around.

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube - the story of truth is everywhere.

And just at this time, the people behind that circle realized that the situation was getting out of hand.

A threat came to Saim's phone from an unknown number:

"If you want to live, shut up. Or your family won't be safe either."

Sayam's eyes were fire, and his face was strangely determined.

"They targeted my family. Now I will lay hands on their family—with truth and proof."

Rakib then went one step further.  He contacted international human rights organizations and some expatriate Bengali media.

When Sayem heard that name, his hair stood up.

This is the man with whom he was once in training, and who is now close to ministering.

The revelation of this truth means that the country will shake.

Sayem hesitated—“The country cannot be shaken, but injustice can be left behind?”

Then his mother said on the phone,

"Father, if you are afraid today, where will the next generation get courage?"

Sayem regained his strength in these words.

He announced at a press conference—

"Each and every member of this ring will be brought to book. I swear as a public servant—the truth will not be suppressed in any way."

Fear on Salman's face.  When the judge said—

"Salman and his accomplices were sentenced to life imprisonment,"
